Shield Group and her ambition
Hans van der Wart is delighted: "Shield Group had until recently a limited presence in Limburg and Brabant in the field of asbestos services. We primarily took care of our clients on a one-off project basis and this for several large industrial customers, municipalities and health care institutions (hospitals). Now we are really present through this regional footprint and we can fully focus on bringing our services package into this region. ABS is a great addition to our group of companies and fits in our strategy to achieve growth both nationally and internationally in the existing product and services range."
Ronny Janssen, general manager of ABS, "The acquisition has its origin in our ambition to build a stable platform for the future, to ensure continuity of ABS and further growth can be achieved. Shield Group is a good fit because they can facilitate and support us in this ambition. In addition to stability and continuity Shield Group brings additional expertise in the field of education & training and project management but also in other risk areas (other than asbestos) and therefore we can serve our customers even better."
The current management of ABS remains in the same composition and they will actively contribute to the ambitions of both ABS and Shield Group. Shield Group will provide structured support to ABS on administration, Finance & Control, Quality, Training & Education, Human Resources & Organisation and ICT issues.
With this acquisition Shield Group grows to over 675 employees with an annual turnover of 55 million Euros. In addition to the strong expansion in the Netherlands the organization is also growing abroad. Currently Shield Group has companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Scotland, Denmark and Spain.
