Shield Group takes over Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS
Exciting future for DBA
Rotterdam – Shield Group strengthens its portfolio with additional services by acquiring Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS (DBA). In addition to their valuable services DBA also provides a platform to enter Scandinavian countries. For Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS this means new opportunities by becoming part of an internationally operating group of companies.
Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS, with headquarters and laboratories in Kolding and an office in Lyngby was sold on July 13th 2012 to Shield Group International.
Shield Group, part of the Dutch parent company ACTA*, is an international company striving to create a healthy living and working environment that is free of asbestos, ceramic fibres, Legionella bacteria and other substances or organisms that are potentially hazardous to human health.
Shield Group is currently active in niche markets of Asbestos, Legionella, Inspections, Consultancy and Laboratory services. Acquiring Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS provides a well-established, high quality platform to broaden our services portfolio in the field of building inspections and the testing of indoor climate, fungi, rot and insect attack, fibre, moisture and other critical environmental factors.
International growth platform
”This deal is of significant importance to Shield Group International as we want to move into Scandinavia” says Hans van der Wart, CEO at Shield Group’s head office in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
”Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS specialises in providing high quality safety and environmental monitoring and management solutions and will broaden and strengthen Shield’s portfolio in Europe according to our strategy”, adds Van der Wart.
Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS, founded in 1988, has had a positive growth path - developed by the owner, architect Jørgen Fode and his team of experts. In order to ensure a future of major international development and growth, Fode decided to sell the company. Shield Group gives DBA better access to the Scandinavian market, and by creating new business together, Shield Group can also make use of the Dansk Bygningsanalyse AS expertise for other European markets.
